Advertising Graphic Design
In this course, students will undertake graphic design projects in the following areas: corporate identity, poster design, editorial design, advertising, signage, packaging, and illustration.

Comprehensive training in various areas of graphic design: corporate image, poster design, editorial design, advertising, signage, packaging, and illustration

These studies enable students to conceive, organize, and carry out the different phases of a visual communication project, developing all the necessary applications to ensure the achievement of the objectives set at the beginning of any visual communication assignment.

Those who complete the training cycle obtain a higher technician diploma, which allows them to enter the job market to perform tasks such as the following:

Design, organization, and management of graphic industry projects / Art direction / Creative direction / Preparation of artwork for proper printing / Expert graphic designer in the selection and use of typographic, calligraphic, and manual lettering resources for different applications / Collaboration in the organization and supervision of graphic production.

Title: Higher Technician in Plastic Arts and Design in Advertising Graphics.

Level: Advanced level of professional education in Plastic Arts and Design.

Level 1 of the Spanish Qualifications Framework for Higher Education (MECES)

Total duration of the cycle: Two thousand hours distributed over two academic years

ECTS Credits: One hundred and twenty

European reference: ISCED-5b (International Standard Classification of Education).

The general competencies describe the combination of skills, motivations, and traits required to perform effectively in a wide range of jobs within the specialty.

  • Propose and create graphic solutions to convey advertising messages for companies, institutions, or other professionals.
  • Plan the development of the advertising image project from identifying the communication assignment, defining the formal, aesthetic, functional, and technical aspects, to the creation of the finished graphic product.
  • Organize and carry out the different phases of the project and the corresponding quality controls that ensure the optimal graphic expression of the message.

Professional competencies are those related to the job, encompassing all the skills and aptitudes that help them perform their job successfully:

  • Carry out advertising graphic projects independently and with the professionally required level of quality.
  • Communicate advertising ideas and messages efficiently through graphic resources.
  • Provide the advertising graphic product with persuasive, informative, and/or identifying elements appropriate to the assignment's objectives.
  • Solve formal and communicative aspects of advertising messages using graphic and typographic resources.
  • Plan and execute advertising graphic projects in all their phases and carry out the corresponding quality controls to obtain a product of technical, artistic, and communicative quality.
  • Define the formal and functional aspects of the advertisement in a graphic medium.
  • Accurately transmit the appropriate information for reproduction processes and follow up and quality control to achieve an optimal printed result.
  • Recognize and comply with the regulations governing professional activity.
