What do I need to do to enroll in the second year?

If you have completed the 1st year of a vocational training cycle at the center during the current academic year, you only need to complete the enrollment for the second year during the normal enrollment period. You do not need to provide any documentation, except if you want to request any recognition for previous studies and did not process it during the 1st year enrollment or if your personal situation has changed and you need to certify any situation of total or partial enrollment discount.

If you have completed all or part of the 1st year in previous years and did not continue at the school, you will need to reapply indicating that it is for the vacant places in 2nd year.

Depending on the places offered by the school in the respective 2nd-year courses of the different cycles, enrollment in the second year will be authorized.

Can I access a university degree with a Higher Technician title obtained after completing the Higher Level Vocational Training Cycle at the school?

Yes, you can directly access any university degree based on the cutoff grade required for the chosen degree.

The access grade for students from higher vocational training cycles (CFGS) is the average final grade of the cycle (grade with three decimal places).

The access grade for students from a Higher Level Vocational Training Cycle is a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10.

Note that the admission grade (with the completion of the university entrance exams) ranges from a minimum of 5 to a maximum of 14. That is, if you take the access from a vocational training cycle, the maximum grade you can achieve is 10 out of 14, while students coming from the entrance exams can provide grades up to 14 points.

What is the difference between access grade and admission grade?

The access grade for students from higher vocational training cycles (CFGS) is the average final grade of the cycle (grade with three decimal places).

The access grade ranges from a minimum of 5 to a maximum of 10.

The admission grade is the result of the following formula: Admission grade = access grade + (a × M1) + (b × M2) where a, b = weighting parameters of the subjects in the specific phase (0.1 or 0.2). M1, M2 = grades of the two subjects passed in the specific phase (with a grade of 5 or higher) which, once weighted, provide a better admission grade.

The admission grade can range from a minimum of 5 to a maximum of 14.

For a subject to be weighted, it must be related to the knowledge area of the degree for which you are applying.

Can I take the specific phase of the university entrance exams to achieve a grade higher than that of the CFGS?

Yes. You can take the specific phase if you are in the last year of a CFGS and have passed all the modules of the vocational training cycle.

However, it is not necessary to have passed the practical training modules in companies and the integrated project module for students of plastic arts and design.

How and when can I register for the PAU?

You need to submit a certificate (original or certified copy), signed by the director and the secretary and with the center's seal, indicating the average grade obtained with three decimal places for all modules, or if you are still completing the Integrated Project or have not yet completed the practical training in companies.
