In the Higher Education Course in Animation, students acquire the ability to create, manage, and oversee audiovisual animation projects; and incorporate movement into the elements that make up a visual communication piece.

EADT students master a wide range of advanced and specialized animation software.

This course trains animation professionals and prepares them to develop the pre-production, production, and post-production phases of any animated audiovisual piece for graphic, artistic, advertising, and/or fictional projects. A range of possibilities that provides students with a solid foundation to delve into the fascinating world of animation.

Those who complete the course obtain a Higher Technician diploma, allowing them to enter the workforce to perform tasks such as:

  • Designing, organizing, and managing animation projects.
  • Creating scenes, backgrounds, objects, and/or characters using traditional and digital 2D and 3D techniques.
  • Analyzing proposals and conducting documentary and graphic research for animation projects across various fields.
  • Applying animation techniques to projects in artistic, graphic, and advertising contexts.

General Competencies of the Higher Technician in Animation

General competencies describe the combination of skills, motivations, and traits required to effectively perform a wide range of jobs within the specialty.

  • Carry out animation projects, whether personal or commissioned by companies, institutions, or other professionals.
  • Plan the realization of the animation project by defining expressive, functional, and technical aspects.
  • Assess and facilitate teamwork.
  • Organize and execute the different phases of the project and the corresponding quality controls to ensure that it optimally expresses its communicative objectives.

  • Communicates messages efficiently through plastic and visual language.
  • Develops visual communication projects using animated images that, if applicable, integrate persuasive, informative, and identifying elements.
  • Plans and develops animation projects according to previously determined narrative and technical specifications.
  • Selects and manages the optimal sources and resources for the animation project.
  • Communicates messages through animated images for various dissemination media.
  • Establishes quality controls for each phase of the project process.
  • Defines the most appropriate post-production processes for the animation project.
  • Follows specific regulations governing audiovisual communication productions.
  • Coordinates effectively for the development of the animation project.
