For the past 27 years, the Tinet Short Story Awards have been held in Tarragona, organized by the Escola de Lletres-Casa de les Lletres from the Tarragona City Council in collaboration with Tinet from the Tarragona Provincial Council.

This year, second-year students from the Higher Vocational Degree in Illustration had the chance to get involved by creating an image for each of the 15 finalist texts for 2024 as part of their Integrated Project course.

The illustrations you see here on display at the Old Town Hall are the same ones featured in the 27th Tinet Short Story Award book, where they accompany the texts published by Cossetània Edicions.

You can visit the exhibition of the drawings at the small hall of the Old Town Hall from January 31 to February 20.
Opening hours: Tuesday to Saturday, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

How do you draw darkness? Or how do you capture the feeling you get at the very moment you’re dying? Or a memory? How do you draw the soul when it's being hurt, or how do you depict forbidden and desired love? All of these questions were tackled through single-color drawings, most created using the scratch technique, with some in digital format and ink.

This is a great opportunity for our second-year students, as it gives them exposure and visibility for their work, as well as showcasing the school itself.
