Erasmus+ at EADT: A Path to Internationalization
Since the end of last school year, the Tarragona School of Art and Design has been awarded the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE): "Building International Bridges for Artistic Education," an opportunity for the center's new internationalization project. Thus, the School becomes part of the Erasmus+ program, promoted by the European Union.
Erasmus+ is a program dedicated to fostering the mobility of students and staff between European countries, promoting international cooperation, and contributing to a more inclusive and innovative education. In addition to opening doors to new academic and professional experiences, Erasmus+ plays a fundamental role in building a more sustainable and digital Europe.
During the period 2021-2027, the Erasmus+ program places special emphasis on several key priorities:
- Social inclusion: Ensuring that people from different backgrounds and circumstances have the opportunity to participate in and benefit from international experiences.
- Ecological and digital transitions: Helping participants acquire relevant skills for future professions, with particular attention to sustainability and new technologies.
- Youth participation: Encouraging young people's involvement in democratic life and fostering their personal and professional development.
At EADTarragona, the Erasmus+ program will offer various opportunities for both students and teaching and administrative staff:
- Student mobility for studies and internships: Students will be able to take part of their studies or do internships abroad, broadening their academic horizons and gaining experience in an international context.
- Teaching staff mobility and training: Teaching staff will be able to share knowledge and experiences with other European educational institutions, while administrative staff will have access to training programs to enhance their skills.
Overall, EADTarragona reaffirms its commitment to internationalization and educational cooperation, providing a more global education open to the world. Currently, discussions are underway with institutions in Italy, France, and the Czech Republic.
On October 14, coinciding with the celebration of Erasmus Days worldwide, an explanatory talk-conference has been prepared for all students and staff at the center.
