During the past academic year, the students photographed different theatrical performances from the Tarragona-based venue.

Every year, the School of Art and Design of the Tarragona Provincial Council establishes a series of collaboration agreements to bring real-life art and design projects into the classroom.

On this occasion, it is a collaboration with Sala Trono in Tarragona, which has allowed second-year students of the CFGS in Photography to carry out professional photo sessions of performances or their preparation in a real and professional setting.

Roger Conesa, professor of the CFGS in Photography at EADTarragona, explains the motivation behind these collaborations:
"Working on a real case represents growth for the student, both as a photographer and as a person. Seeing that there is life after school and that it is truly possible to make a living from their passion helps students develop a very special connection with the profession. It also helps them find their place, understand what they feel most comfortable with, and decide what kind of photographers they want to become."

The project involved analyzing the scheduled theater production each week, studying the stage and lighting characteristics of the performance, and determining the intended purpose of the images. Afterward, the photographs were taken and processed in the black-and-white laboratory.

It will be available for viewing until June 1, coinciding with the end of the theatrical season.
