Professional competencies are those linked to the job, encompassing all the skills and aptitudes that help them perform their work successfully:

• Develops projects for jewelry elements or pieces, whether from personal artistic creation or by interpreting external concepts, preparing both the technical information for production and promotion.
• Adequately assesses the material, technical, economic, and organizational aspects of the tasks involved.
• Guides the production plans for new products and forms, proposing new ideas in working methods.
• Searches for bibliographic information and technical documentation that serve as a basis for their work.
• Makes sketches of the project.
• Studies the most appropriate processes and working methods for manufacturing the objects.
• Draws plans for sets and assemblies with indications for machining and surface treatments.
• Draws workshop (manufacturing) plans.
• Studies the materials to be used, both raw and manufactured, based on qualities and prices.
• Investigates the introduction of new materials in object construction.
• Prepares budgets, evaluating manufacturing costs, labor, materials, and, finally, the profit to be obtained based on these.
• Creates mock-ups of objects, if required.
• Analyzes the product's feasibility in the market and the regulations that affect it.
• Conducts market studies for launching new products, considering fashion trends and the particular characteristics of the potential consumer.
